The Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy began its life in 1991 as the Osteopathic Centre for Children. We recently changed our name - but not our mission.
At our three clinics in the UK we are able to offer 30,000 free osteopathic treatments to babies, children, pregnant women and post-partum mothers each year. However we receive no Government funding, nor are we part of the NHS.
New families coming to one of our clinics will have an initial one-hour session with an osteopath, with further appointments at 30 minutes each being made as deemed appropriate.
Families should note that we don't just treat babies and children: we treat young adults up to the age of 18, pregnant women and mothers who have given birth within the last six months.
Our clinics are child-friendly, with an open plan layout so that children can be around other children. None of our osteopaths wear 'white coats'. Additionally, referrals from doctors or other health professionals are not required. In fact, most families who visit us have heard about us through family friends. Have we helped you or your child? Recommend us to a friend!
